Our backgrounds as appraisers provides you with some unique attributes in a broker. Most real estate brokers get into the business from a sales background.  This is logical, for much of the business involves selling.These brokers learn the real estate part of the business as they pay their dues and grow more experienced.  This is the typical way to learn the business and it works well, for there are many qualified and reputable brokers who have followed this path. 

Alternatively, the brokers of Advantage Real Estate have followed a different path.Roger Pack, the company’s founder, has been involved in real estate and an active broker since 1981.  He started appraising Eagle County Real Estate in 1987, while still working a handful of real estate brokerage transactions every year.  Utilizing a philosophy of providing a quality product with dependable service, Pack Appraisal Company has grown to be the largest appraisal company in Eagle County.

Advantage Real Estate was created under the premise that:

“A broker who has an experienced background as a  Real Estate Appraiser offers an extensive knowledge base, unique skills, and a different perspective than brokers who have learned the business from the ‘sales perspective’.”

There are some distinct differences among these two pathways.  An appraisal background provides an appraiser/broker with extensive knowledge about real estate, but it provides for much less “sales” experience.  However; our clients have expressed a liking to this approach.  They receive qualified service and information from the Appraiser/Broker, but do not feel any pressure from a sales person who is just trying to close the sale.
